The right time for soil analysis as an investment in the five-year production plan

The starting point leading to high quality and high yield is the implementation of the agrotechnical measure known as soil fertility analysis. Fertility analysis enables agricultural manufacturers to save money indirectly, by learning about the chemical value of the soil based on the results of the analysis and consequently about which mineral fertilizers should be added and in which quantities.

According to the Victoria Logistic expert service, the best time to perform a soil analysis is after the plants have been removed from the parcels, i.e. after the harvest when the soil is not very rich in nutrient elements and when the parcel is easily penetrable, or before planting new crops.

This agrotechnical measure characteristic of modern and responsible agriculture is more and more accepted by our agricultural producers as a necessity. It is important to emphasize that this is regulated by the Law on Agricultural Land, more precisely by Article 21 on agricultural land fertility control and the quantities of mineral fertilizers and pesticides introduced into agricultural land:

“For the purpose of protecting and preserving the biological features of the agricultural land from the first to the fifth cadaster category, and for the purpose of ensuring the correct use of mineral and organic fertilizers and pesticides, the owner, i.e. the user of the agricultural land performs an agricultural land fertility control, and also records the quantities of mineral fertilizers and pesticides introduced. The agricultural land fertility control and the control of the quantities of the introduced mineral fertilizers and pesticides are performed as needed, but at least once every five years.”

Victoria Logistic offers the following to all interested agricultural producers:

  • a complete soil analysis service, including a visit to the parcel and mapping, sampling using an automatic probe with GPS marking the precise coordinates of each plant, laboratory analysis and a recommendation for fertilization taking into account the preferred plant species
  • a sampling service, including a visit to the parcel and mapping and taking samples using an automatic probe with GPS marking the precise coordinates of each plant.
